The powers that be at my work are calling for volunteers to be on their new cultural committee. I am part of one of the groups of people the committee will devise sensitivity trainings about. I'm a shy minion in the company, new to the working world in general and I've only worked here for 3 years. I have no committee experience. Should I volunteer? Why or why not?

How do women successfully wear jeans tucked into boots especially with knee high boots?
Whenever I try this there ends up being way too much fabric even with skinny jeans. I either can't get it all into the boots or it adds so much extra bulk it looks ridiculous.

I can't figure out how to word my question so here's the details.

Tomorrow is my brother's girlfriend's birthday and my brother said they were having dinner with her mother and her brother and that me and my parents were invited. None of us have met.

I personally think it's strange that my parents and I were invited. She has come to MY birthday dinner, but that was because she was a guest of my brother's. I would never think of inviting my boyfriend's sister to my birthday because...there's no connection there.

Does that make sense?

So, basically, how far "removed" do you celebrate people's birthdays and things?

You've prepared/bought/heated up your lunch after accidentally skipping breakfast. From the first bite your stomach goes "Nope, sorry. I don't want that" and makes it so that even the smell is making you kind of sick. Being that you don't have the time/money to prepare/buy/heat up anything else you are stuck with this choice to hold you over until your shift is over and you go home in four hours. This is all I've had the chance to eat all day.

What do you do? Do you force yourself to choke down the lunch you no longer find appetizing/doesn't taste good? Or do you just let yourself go hungry for the next four hours knowing that, since you haven't eaten all day, it most likely is not the healthiest choice to do so?

My answer: I think I'm just going to go hungry and keep downing water to fill up my belly. :(

I am hearing and seeing a lot of people getting their accounts hacked lately and thought I'd share this "program" that was shown to me by a programmer friend of mine about a year ago after I thought I had gotten a keylogger on my computer.

It's called KL Detector and it is very very simple to use.
I'm not sure if anyone on here has used it before or has any feedback on it (positive or negative). It's just another option to keep your computers clean.
